Biography:
Carol Vining was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1963. She began drawing and painting as a child and has continued to do so throughout her entire life. Although she considered art as a major, she decided upon a different route when starting her college education and graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1986 with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. After working as a Registered Nurse for nearly twenty years, her love for art prevailed and in March of 2006 she became a full time artist.
Carol is a member of several local art organizations and has participated in multiple regional exhibits. She was also recently accepted into her first national exhibition, The Pastel Society of North Floridas Eighth Biennial National Exhibition.
Carol has continued her education by studying art at the Metropolitan State College in Denver, Colorado and Southeastern Louisiana University. She periodically participates in painting workshops and is currently enrolled in private pastel painting lessons. She lives in Ponchatoula, Louisiana with her husband, Tom and their daughters, Taylor and Ashley.
