Artist Statement: My inspiration is the unlimited power of the human soul to transform. My life has been a journey of intentionality, a quest to connect with my authentic self and to be true to my soul's purpose. The beauty, verity and energy that arise from this journey reveal themselves in my artwork. I feel that every human being shares this need to find his or her own true essence. The process of doing so results in amazing transformation and growth. My work speaks to our common destiny as travelers on this earth. I am constantly inspired by the people around me, and I seek to express my gratitude for their influence. My art evolves and revolves around possibility, the unlimited shared resource.
Background: Being an artist was never my intention. Who could have suspected that a career in business would lead me to a passion for painting? Now I am in a place where I find my art informs everything I do. Having studied with the fusionart master Rassouli, I lean toward the abstract and the spiritual. I strive to express human transformation and possibility. My preferred medium is acrylics, and I continually experiment with texture. I sometimes paint while talking with friends, it is amazing how these works take on lives of their own! I also provide literary compositions with each painting, I find they are a terrific jumping-off point for the viewer. Enjoy what you see, and look for your own personal connection.
